Dominican Republic

Expanding our proven model to new communities while adapting to local contexts and building partnerships with Caribbean organizations

Our Work in Dominican Republic

Adapting Our Model to Caribbean Communities

Building on our experience in Nicaragua, we expanded to the Dominican Republic in 2018 to refine and deploy our community-led development model in a new cultural and geographic context.

Our work here focuses on building strong partnerships with local organizations and adapting our health, housing, and youth programs to meet the specific needs of Caribbean communities.

This expansion allows us to learn from new partners, strengthen our overall approach, and create opportunities for cross-cultural exchange between all our communities.

Stories from Dominican Republic

Eurel Gonzalez

What makes the annual health summit meaningful is not the presentations, but the relationships built in this space. When universities, healthcare providers, interpreters, and local institutions come together to strengthen coordination and accessibility across systems of care, that alignment moves our communities forward.
